Harbin Ice and Snow World Receives 5 Nominations for the China Tourism Investment ITIA Award

Recently, ITIA released the nomination list for the 13th China Tourism Investment ITIA Awards. Harbin Ice and Snow World won five nomination awards, including Best Tourism Project Award, Best Scenic Area Award, Best Night Tourism Project Award, Best Investment Benefit Award, and Best Individual Product Award, thanks to its outstanding performance during the 2023-2024 ice and snow season.

Founded in 2011, the ITIA Award is the highest honor in China's tourism investment industry and is known as the "Oscars of China's tourism industry". This year's selection has established 4 categories with 20 awards. After two months of selection by the members of the jury, from 430 candidates which entered the first round of candidate voting list, Harbin Ice and Snow World was finally selected as a winner of the nomination award, together with Shanghai Disneyland Crazy Animal City, Changsha Window of the World, Shanghai Yu Garden Lantern Festival, Luoyang Longmen Grottoes in Henan and other scenic areas or projects.

During the 2023-2024 ice and snow season, the 25th Harbin Ice and Snow World with the theme of "Dragon Soaring on Ice and Snow, Chasing Dreams in Asian Winter Games" has maintained high popularity and is undoubtedly the "top stream" among all tourist scenic areas this winter in the country. It attracts tens of thousands of domestic and foreign tourists to visit every day. During the 61 days operation period, the park received a total of 2.71 million visitors, exceeding historical records in all indicators and receiving praise and recognition from all aspects. It also successfully challenged the Guinness World Record and won the title of "World's Largest Ice and Snow Theme Park".

In earlier days, the 25th Harbin Ice and Snow World has been awarded the "Top 10 Cases of Ice and Snow Culture in 2024" in the China Ice and Snow Tourism Development Report (2024), successfully selected as a national service industry standardization pilot project in 2024, and has won heavyweight awards such as the most popular domestic scenic area on Weibo in 2023, the China Cultural Tourism Pioneer Award, the 15th Tiger Roar Award Gold Award, and the 24th IAI AWARDS IAI Travel Awards Gold Award.

It is reported that the judging panel is about to conduct a second round of voting, and select gold medals for each award in August and submit to the chairman of the judging panel for approval. According to past practice, ITIA appraises around 40 gold awards each time, and the results of the gold award selection will be announced at the 2024 ITIA Tourism Investment Annual Ceremony held in the second half of this year.
